This course is designed to review all the methods used to accurately diagnose odontogenic pain and differentiate it from non odontogenic pain. The participant will be able interpret test results in order to classify conditions of the pulp and periapical tissues. We will also look at those lesions which mimic periapical lesions and can cause confusion. Case difficulty analysis will be reviewed with the goal to be better able to decide when referral is prudent. The afternoon session will cover access, cleaning and shaping, and obturation. Pitfalls and complications will be discussed and methods for troubleshooting will be looked at. There will be an overview of surgery including indications, technique and potential complications. Time will be allotted at the end for questions and discussion.
• Non odontogenic lesions
• Case difficulty assessments
• Cleaning and shaping
Each attendee can select one of their choice surgery, fractured teeth, trauma or treatment of procedural errors.
